I'm really enjoying experimenting with the Rorschach theme. I love the way each bead is an individual. I love that everyone sees something different in the same bead. I love the idea of a piece of jewellery that also works as a portable meditation tool, lifting you out of the mundane and letting your mind play with the shapes.

I'm chuffed with the way this piece has come together, another labour of love as I tend to the wee friction burn on the end of my finger from the sanding part of the story.

The red, black and white Rorschach patterns bring to my mind masks and wild figures. Looking at the five tile beads in sequence gives the effect of a totem pole. You may see something else, feel free to share...

The wild weather has prevented me from getting out into the garden. While watching the new greenhouse coping with it's first storm - a storm that saw the Met Office issue a rare red alert - I've been busy making some new polymer clay jewellery. I never know what is going to happen when I combine a few colours to make marbled or swirl beads. This one speaks to me of a red moon galaxy and I'm pleased with the way the sparkle adds a little extra pzazz to this large statement bead. The bead is 40mm across and the choker is designed to set the bead against the base of the throat.

* Step into the large loop
* Pull the loop so that the end bead sits at the front of the ankle
* Cross the loop over once at the back of the ankle and step the foot through the large loop again
