Ankh Pendant
In Egyptian hieroglyphics, the word ankh meant both “life” and “hand mirror”. The Ankh was originally a female symbol derived from primitive Libyan and Phoenician images of the Goddess – a narrow triangle surmounted by crossbar arms and an oval head.
The ankh became known in Egypt as a symbol of sexual union and eternal life, representing the mystical union of Isis and Osiris.
This ankh pendant is cast in lead-free pewter and measures 50mm and comes with a 70cm black cotton self-tie cord.
