Cat lives with us, near us and has been associated with us for thousands of years – but Cat is never owned by us. Cat is the wild animal who chooses to sleep on our feet.

Cats appear in many traditions – sacred to the Egyptians where Bast shapeshifts from Cat to a woman with a cat’s head. In Northern Europe, Freyja is associated with cats and in Hindu myths Shasthi rides upon a cat as she oversees childbirth.

Cats are synonymous with witchcraft, mystery, magic and the night.
