The pentacle is a five pointed star which divides a circle into 5 arcs of 72 degrees each – 72 is the prime magic number divisible by all numbers except the magical 5 and 7.

The pentacle is sacred to many traditions and in Pagan circles it represent the five elements – Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Ether.
